Led by the sensational Philipe Alves, whose musical journey spans over 20 years sharing the magic of Forró from the Northeast of Brazil, Mandacaru will transport you to the heart of this enchanting genre.

Joining Philipe is the extraordinary Lalita Yagnik, who delved into Brazil’s traditional sounds like Coco and Afoxé during her time there, and continues to captivate audiences with Maracatu and Forró in Australia.

Antonio Moreira, a percussionist from Recife, brings his rich musical background, representing styles such as Maracatu, Coco, Afoxé, and Forró.

André Pinheiro, hailing from Espirito Santo, shares his passion for Brazilian folk music and rhythms, pulsing the band via his triangle.
